Ellen Bauersfeld

MS, RDN, CDCES (Associate)

Ellen is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator and has been practicing in the field for 28 years. She has an extensive background in nutrition related to weight management, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and wellness.

Ellen worked as a dietitian in corporate wellness, and was the Director of Nutrition at the Pritikin Longevity Center before joining Medical Nutrition Network, LLC as a private practice dietitian in 1990.

In addition, Ellen is the Registered Dietitian at the Klotz Student Health Center on the campus at Cal State Northridge where she provides individual nutrition counseling to students, faculty, and staff. Ellen is a frequent speaker in classrooms and at campus events and also collaborates with a variety of campus departments including Athletics, the Student Recreation Center, The University Corporation and Human Resources.

Ellen has been interviewed on numerous television programs and quoted in the press addressing hot nutrition topics and really enjoys the ever evolving world of nutrition science.
