Michele Christopher


Michele Christopher, MS, RD, has been in private practice at Medical Nutrition Network, LLC since 2015. She graduated from California State University, Northridge with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. While in grad school, Michele received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Graduate Student in Cal State Northridge’s Department of Health and Human Development. She completed her dietetic internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, with rotations at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Michele also works as Manager of Dietary Services at Rosewood Santa Monica Centers for Eating Disorders. Prior to joining Rosewood, she spent two years as a dietitian working with adults struggling with eating disorders, substance abuse and mental health at the residential level. Michele participated as a lead researcher in a study investigating the relationship between dietary intake, exercise behaviors and body composition among college freshman, which was recently published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition. She has been selected to present on the Gut-Brain Connection: How do we Treat Based on What we Know (and don’t know?) at the February 2019 International Eating Disorder Symposium. Michele has also presented on the Gut Brain Axis: The Intersection of Gastrointestinal and Mental Health Disorders.

When providing nutritional counseling, Michele focuses on the individual and their specific needs with the goal of healing their relationship with food and body. She is passionate in her work to support, empower and encourage her clients through expressive and creative hands-on experientials like cooking classes, mindful eating/food exposure activities and individualized one-on-one sessions.

In her spare time, Michele enjoys hiking, playing tennis, going to the beach, researching, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
